The City Museum of Almunecar, is located in the highest part , inside the walled enclosure of San Miguel Castle, in a building without any architectural connection with the rest of the monument. It is about a building with an unique plant and arched room and that it dates of the XVIII century -of our era-, and as the Arab remains that surround it, it is built directly on the rocky hill.
In this museum we find authentic jewels of all the times and civilizations that settled in Sexi, name with the one was well-known Almunecar during the Roman time and that means "The Enigmatic" one.
